Hi can anyone give me some advice. trying to install my CPU cooler

I cant seem to get the bracket right. Whats best way to do this?

its the rear bracket it doesn't seem right. Have I got the wrong combo?

As I am building another PC for my brother should I go for same combo again or is there a better cpu and motherboard choice I could get?
