CPU cooling fan about a cm below PSU fan?

Finishing off a MATX build in a Thermaltake Lanparty case, and my CPU 120mm cooling fan, which blows air against the Heatsink, is about a cm below, and in line with, the PSU, a Corsair 520W, internal fan, which sucks air out of the case, wondering if having these two large fans, so close to each other, and working in opposite directions, is a problem?

Well its not ideal but it wont cause your pc to explode or anything, it may however generate more noise because of the air turbulance. Best to try it and see what happens. If one fan was vastly more powerful then the other it could draw air backwards out of the other fan i suppose but not likely.

I currently have this setup and i've noticed that CPU temps go UP when i have the rear case fan on full speed for some reason, i may plonk in my Freezer 7 pro just to see what difference it makes.

certainly not ideal at all. any way of turning the cpu fan the other direction would be good, maybe even getting another heatsink. a passive heatsink with the external fans doing all the work might also work.

I suppose one fix could be to use a piece of card or something at an angle between the 2 fans so that they draw air in from different sides? that might make more noise though if its really such a tight fit.
