Cpu Cooling in an SG03, Advice?

Looking for a quiet and efficient cpu cooling solution in a Silverstone SG03, I have 2 options, which would give the best cooling option for a E6600 at Stock speeds?

-Enermax Liberty 520 with Replacement 22DB Nexus Fan + NT06 Cooler

-Zalman 7500LED Copper at 5V, same PSU & Nexus fan but fan facing outwards. i.e pulling air in...

-------------------------

If you do not know what an SG03 is or NT06 and have never owned a Silverstone SG01 & NT06 then please do not comment... as your opinions are irrelevant given the situation..

Thankyou

I don't understand this one...

I think the NT06 is probably the best option. I recall someone in the SFF forum not being able to fit the CNPS7500 in. I think it's taller than the 7000 and the 7700. :)

Edit: I get it:you want to replace the PSU fan with a Nexus. I wouldn't advise this. It will invalidate your warranty for a start, and the PSU is about the one thing I would always want a warranty on. :)

Also, you wouldn't want it blowing the hot air from the PSU onto the CPU.

YOU don't feel comfortable changing the PSU fan?, shouldn't be that tricky, and try to picture it from my point of view, case has side vent, psu fan facing side vent, so all it is doing is pulling cold air in and exhausting it, so not exhausting warm air form case, so should be fine putting low rpm fan in psu as it just has to deal with psu heat...

I take it you don't have an sgo1, nor know what an sg03 is...

Why the hostility?

Of course *I* don't feel comfortable. I can't speak for anyone else can I? Surely a discussion board is about voicing your own opinions.

Anyway, no I don't have an SG01, but I most certainly do know what an SG01 and an SG03 is. I've fiddled with systems in an SG01 before, and I own a small form factor case with a Zalman CNPS7000.

I get your idea now with respect to the PSU fan, I couldn't quite understand from your original post. But I still don't really see the point in replacing the fan. The fan will be a very quiet low-rpm one anyway and probably won't need replacing. If you go for a Corsair 520W PSU instead then they're inaudible to most people.

I'd go for the NT06 Lite, and the PSU fan drawing air from the CPU area.

Actually considering the initial post I think youre lucky if anyone decides to post.

I have both the nt06 and a sugo sg01. Before the nt06 I had a swiftech cooler with the fan reversed (flipped over).

Me I'd go with the nt06 route and not change the psu fan, the airflow is important in relation to the efficiency of the nt06.

at around 300W with stock fan the PSU will be around 30DB which is way to loud ofr me, i'm going for under 20db so replacement fan is a must, Nexus 22DB running at 10v should be tolerable..., fan will be powered directly from motherboard.

Also note as quiet I mean silent so any 3.5" HD is loud for me, it's not the seek noise but the motor noise I found annoying, basically a Seagate 7200.10 which is a quiet 3.5" HD sounds like a jet engine when starting up/shutting down, so i'm going for the laptop HD's the motor noise form them is jsut bearable, but still lou,d, but I have a secret weapon to quiet them down, all will be revealed, just need to sort out cpu cooling, will order 500W Liberty + 22DB Nexus, and for CPU cooler not sure, Have a Zalman 7500 LED, but it really is poor at cooling.., the CNPS8000 is suppose ot be good in the SG03 but it is rated worse than the 7500LED, so not sure what CPU cooling solution to go for..

Some Advice Please?..
