Hey,

Im lost in the world of CPU cooling. I have a 3800 X2 which i want to overclock and was looking at high performance fans. The last 2 i am deciding on is the -

Zalman CNPS9500-LED Aero Flower (Socket 939/754/478/775) CPU Cooler (HS-015-ZA)

And the

VapoChill Micro Extreme Performance (Socket 754/939/940) (06-L-0015) (HS-005-VP)

I have been advised by overclockers that the zalman is a superb cooler and i dont doubt that its just that i am still tempted by the vapo (when it comes in stock again)

Can i have some of your opinions on these 2 coolers and which one to go for.

Thanks very much in advance

Those are both good coolers, but i think you should throw a few more into the equation to complicate things :)

Scythe Ninja, TT Big Typhoon and Artic Cooler Pro

:D

I have that zalman with the X2 3800 as well. Have to say it works brilliantly for me - idle 30C and fully loaded 37-41C depending on room temps. This is with the CPU clocked to 2500MHz with VCore of 1.4V.

Basically, I would avoid the other cooler in your post (not great afaik) but go for either the zalman or any of the ones benjo suggested. All of these would be great solutions for you. Personally, I just like the look of the zalman, hence my decision.
