cpu cooller bracket

Hi have done my first build yesterday,only problem it seems is the cpu cooller (shadow rock be quite) bracket.have installed it but when intalled the bracket does not screw flush to rubber washers to the motherboard.i feel any tighter it could damage cpu,it feels secure but not sure how taught these should be.

I usually tighten till it starts to bite then add another quater to half a turn.

Ok so i doesnt matter that the bracket attached to the cpu is screwed taught to the rubber washers
