Cpu core speed

H could someone tell me if this is normal that the core speed goes low on idle then highers up under load?

that will be with speedstep enabled, it cuts the performance of the cpu when its doesnt need to use all its power.

Do a google search on how to switch it off

you turn off speedstep by changing a setting within your BIOS...

funny enough, i can't remember which setting atm...
