CPU Core temps not all showing

Hello folks,

I Have an Intel Core i7 930 CPU and recently I noticed the temparature sensor on two of the four cores don't seem to work anymore. I noticed two cores stopped showing up when running HWMonitor earlier on.

I get the same problem with the latest version of the softwaren and the same issue with speed fan. When I monitor CPU activity all cores seem to work fine.

Can anyone offer any advice please?

Try Core Temp or Real Temp and see if they show anything.

Does task manager show 8 graphs in cpu usage?

Windows had indeed lost two of my CPU cores. Task manager was only showing 4 rather than 8 cores (hyper-threading) and RealTemp was only recording temps for 2 cores the same as HWMonitor.

I managed to fix the problem by opening MS Config and under the advanced tab I unticked the boot with all cores option. When I restarted my PC all the cores appeared once again.

Stupid Windows......
