This has been a frustrating build..

Spec: Ryzen 1600af
Tomahawk max b450
G skill 4200mhz Ddr4 2 x 8 gb
EVGA 850w supernova gold psu
Gtx 980ti

I built this and to start with had no issues for a few days, then after those few days I had the cpu debug light on when trying to boot, had no post, the only thing that cleared it was by removing all power to the motherboard, then it was fine again for another week or so. Played cod for about 3 hours on Wednesday no hiccups.

Last night I had the cpu debug light on again, but this time after the machine had booted and loaded windows 10 after about 5 minutes. The machine stays powered with fans etc all working but the red cpu light stays solid and has to be powered off.

Rebooted (didn't change anything) and then it worked and I played cod for about 2 hours after with no issue, its incredibly frustrating.

Any ideas?

Things to note;
Ram speed set to 3200mhz
No oc on the cpu
Pc is kept in the garage so it's always a pretty cold boot but I am planning to setup a desk in the garage so it needs to work there.
Not temp related as watercooled loop and temps when in use are about 25 degrees idle 48 degrees full load

Thanks in advance

Are you on the latest bios?

I will double check that later on, I haven't updated it since I got the build so it'll be whatever the motherboard was sold with (was new about 4 weeks ago)
There was a few bugs on the early bios with cold boots so I would say update to V35 and see how you get on.

Since your ram is 4200mhz but it's set to 3200 did you set this manually and did you manually input the voltage?
Manually set the speed but did not input the voltage, will check that.

Booted fine last night and about 2 hours on cod with no issues, it's just so unpredictable
