CPU error.. take a look?

the other day my PC died .. no BSOD, the sound that was playing stalled on a note (hope u get me) and the screen went blank (white) .... i looked at Event viewer and seen an error with cpu ID 3.

but not knowing what i was looking at or for i left it, hoping it was a one off error.

It just happened again and again i found this:

A fatal hardware error has occurred.

Reported by component: Processor Core
Error Source: Machine Check Exception
Error Type: Bus/Interconnect Error
Processor ID: 3

any advice or info on this, currently googling it aswell.

That's similar to what happens when my CPU overheats when stress testing high overclocks. Have you checked the temps? What were you doing when it crashed?

Have you ran prime? Looks like one of the cores isnt able to run at the selected speeds

A couple of people have mentioned temps from a quick google. but mine never go over 60 on load. although i was playing a game this time (cnc zero hour) but was only net browsing the first time.

my cpu is on stock 2.4ghz also
myt run a mem diagnostic then prime.
