:eek:Just installed all hardware into new case, only to find a problem with the PSU 8 pin CPU power cable. It`s not long enough. PSU is bottom mounted. Have now got to wait for an extension cable to come, hopefully tomorrow.
WHY the hell, don`t these PSU manufacturers or the retailers inform you, that when a PSU is mounted in bottom of case, the 8 pin cable won`t reach and you may need an extension.
On the positive side, i`ve learnt something new.:)

The three PSUs I've used in the last two years have reached just fine provided I drape the cable over, or under the graphics card. If you want to route it around the back and then it won't reach then that's not really the PSU makers fault, is it? It could be that yours is too short even if you drape, now that's a different matter I suppose.

I think also some motherboards have the EPS12v socket in different locations which could have an effect.

Without the graphics card installed, it only just manages to insert. Cable measures a littlle over 40cm, height from bottom of Psu to 8 pin socket is 40cm. Not really a lot of room for manovourability. Socket is located top left, same as last mobo(775). This was`nt a problem, because PSU was top mounted.
It`s more annoying than anything, got everything in place, including new GTX 560 ti(was looking forward to playing Crysis 2) and now will wait for extension cable.
Even thought of putting Psu on a stand outside case, but knowing my luck, something bad would likely happen. So i just haveto wait.
