Need help. Just moved house. Only connection is phone. Rig in sig.

Fan is 2300rpm (100%) which is very loud! Not sure when this started but defo recently. Anyone know a setting to make cpupwm work ?

Can you pop into the BIOS and check the options for the cpu FAN control.

Also check the temps, it may be the heatsink has become loose.

Yep, make sure cpu qfan is enabled in hardware monitoring in bios. As the arctic freezer 7 uses a PWM fan, you should be able to control it with q fan. On the p6 series boards, 3 pin fans will run full speed as theres no option on asus boards cpu fan headers to control them.

Thats it mate, enable cpu q fan, then below that select one of the profiles, iirc theyre called, silent, standard and turbo.

Couldnt honestly say, bios reset by any chance lately, power cut, failed oc etc? Had the p6t deluxe v2, (essentially the same board), fan control on it was pretty good.

Np Theres not much difference in either setting tbh. Once the cpu temp hit's 60c, the fan will run at full speed regardless of profile. Had 3 different coolers on that board, and god only knows how many different PWM fans on them.:D

Is your bios up to date? On an older bios my board would forget all bios settings / set random ones every so often lol (asus)

Thankfully since it's a new asus there's no worries about bricking the board when updating the bios. (bios flashback = win)
