CPU fan always at 100%.

I have the silver arrow installed and the fan that is inserted in to the CPU fan header is always at 100%. In the bios I have it so that it sits at 50% until the CPU goes over 55 degress. My idle temps are way below that (Around 28-34 degrees) yet it's always running at 100% and changing it in SpeedFan doesn't work either. All other controllable fan headers are taken so I can't change the header. My motherboard is a MSI P67A-GD53. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks.

Hi, check your mobo manual to see if you have a PWM setting for your CPU in the Bios and how to enable it. That will control your silver Arrow fan speed. ;)

On the Stock cooler I had before the SA plugged into the same header worked how it was supposed to; stay at 50% until the CPU reached 55 degrees. The SA fan is always at 100%, even thought the CPU is at around 30 degrees. I hadn't changed anything in the bios between coolers and I've also tried reseting the bios setting to default and setting up the automatic CPU fan speed again to no avail.

Yep, could just be a broken cable on the fan itself, first thing I would do is test on another header to see if i could replicate it

Hi again, did you install your PC software of your Driver/Utility CD -

CPUFAN --> support Smart fan control. You can install Control Center utility that will automatically control the CPUFAN speeds according to the actual CPUFAN temperatures. Fan cooler set with 3 or 4 pins power connector are both available for CPUFAN.

I can adjust the fan behavior using EasyTune6, but that's a gigabyte mobo thing I think..

Like I have it at 40% at 30-45c and over it'll go to 100% until temps drop.
