CPU Fan Connection on P8P67

I have the P8P67 motherboard and a Thermalright Silver Arrow cooler. I have one of the coolers fans plugged into CPU_FAN and the other into CHA_FAN1.

When I turn my PC on, I always get the screen saying that my CPU fan is running too slow, then have to press F1 to go into the BIOS, where I see that fan plugged into CPU_FAN is running at around 570rpm and is coloured red for being slow. And the other fan that is plugged into CHA_FAN1 runs at around 700rpm.

Have I got them plugged into the correct slots?

I'm presuming that the CHA_FAN1 fan is just stuck at 700 the no matter what as it's meant to be a chassis fan, whereas the CPU_FAN one alters its speed depending on temperature as it's the proper slot for a CPU cooler fan? Which is the reason it runs slow when I start up the PC as it's all cool, but then speeds up when needed as the temperature rises?

So is it just my motherboard not having 2 available CPU fan slots that's my issue and nothing I can do about it?

Any help much appreciated, thanks.

Sometimes you can either turn fan warnings off or reduce the threshold with which they start to annoy you.

In the fan monitor page of the BIOS it should say something like "minimum FAN speed - 600RPM" lower that to 500, its a warning threshold not a speed threshold. Also with the different speeds it sounds like you has PWM speed setting on the CPU header (lets the board control the fan speed depending on temp), to check that look for if it says something like "CPU Q-Fan - Disabled/turbo/silent/standard/manual/etc".
