CPU fan ERORR!

I am getting this error that says "CPU fan error" when I botup my PC, at first I checked the CPU heatsink but it is spiningso I ignored it and after a week my PC won't get passed the welcome screen, and I think its this. Anyone can give me advice?

Do you actually have a fan connected into the CPU fan header on your motherboard?

Connect the CPU fan to actual CPU fan header located near the socket, rather than any fan header. I think you can press f1 on Asus boards to go past that screen though, or another button to enter the bios and then you can select it so it will not stop for a CPU fan error.

It looks like there is a fan installed inside the heatsink, but I don't know. Their is a cable looking thing and I plugged it in the CPU_Fan slot.
