Hi,

I have a small issue with sleep mode. The PC sleeps and wakes up fine, but after a wake up the CPU fan spins faster, thus louder. The CPU temp is fine and the fan goes back to normal if I restart the PC. I had the same problem on my Asus striker extream mobo too. Any ideas?

Is Q-fan enabled? And also which heatsink are you using? You COULD always use a fan controller (such as Zalman Fanmate) and disable Q-Fan if enabled to fix this issue, but then this means you have to manually turn it up or down when the system is too hot.

I have the same problem with my asus laptop, as soon as it comes out of sleep it goes turbo and doesn't shut up till I turn off/turn on again (reboot doesn't fix it!!).

Fortunatly, my Asus P5K-E wifi does not change my CPU fan from 800rpm at all, I think its a bug with the bios, tried fixing it with a bios update but that didn't work (I like the quiet though).
