CPU Fan Gone Mad?!

Hey guys, I posted this in general as I'm not too sure what's going on exactly...

I started up my computer today, having built everything a few weeks back - everything's been running as smooth as silk, however, upon booting to Windows my CPU fan (Corsair a50) suddenly increased in volume dramatically. I've checked Everest, it says it's running at the standard 2015(ish) RPM - what it should have been running at from the start, and temperatures on CPU/GFX etc all seem fine. I have no idea what's caused the sudden whirring sound as I can't see any obstruction and, as I mentioned, everything has been running fine until now.

Anyone have any idea what's going on?

Cheers.

Indeed it was..manually lowered the speed..woah, it was running MAX. Anyone have any ideas as to why it'd suddenly do that? Sorry about the first post, it can pretty much be disregarded.

Install msi afterburner software, set up a fan profile for it, and have afterburner run at start up.

Should keep the gpu quiet until it needs to ramp up.
