Hi Guys,

Just got an Asus Rampage Extreme IV to repalce the back to back waste of space Asrock boards I have.

First of it's an amazing board compared to the Asrock one. Instructions are great, the layout is great and it actually works!!

I just have just two small issues;

Firstly; if I use the CPU Opt header for my second fan it says CPU fan error but it is running, in BIOS it says it is running but at 500RPM and it highlights it red. Any ideas.

Secondly it only has 4 Sata 6gbps ports. Will a DVD-drive be fine in a Sata 2 port or would it better in a Sata 3 port and moving a HDD into sata 2.

Thanks,

James

Nvm found out the issue.

The Mobo had set the minimum RPM of CPU opt fan to 600rpm and if it wasn't at that it wouldn't let it boot. Lowered it to 500 and all good. Good saftey feature I guess.
