I'm having a problem where the fan plugged into the CPU Fan Header is always at 100%. I've tried both four pin and three pin fans (Thermalright and Arctic Cooling) so it's not just a fan problem. I've set it in the bios so that it runs at 50% until the CPU gets to 60 degrees but it continues to run at 100% even though the CPU is only at 30 degrees. I've also tried disabling the automatic fan speed and tried changing it manually using speedfan but the speed doesn't change. As a last resort I set the Bios settings to default and still nothing changes with regard to the CPU Fan speed. It was working fine a couple of days ago so I don't know why it's all of sudden started happening. What are the chances that the CPU fan header powers the fan but loses the ability to control the fan speed? My motherboard is a MSI GD53.
Thanks.
Thanks.
