CPU fan making humming noise

I currently have this http://www.spire-corp.com/main/product_detail.asp?ProdID=680 CPU fan installed in my computer (came with my computer). It's now making a humming noise, so I presume I am going to need a new fan but I'm not too sure what one I will need.

I would like to get a branded fan like Corsair or if any better brands any of you can suggest but don't want to spend too much on it.

Any help would be good.

Which processor do you have?

Basically any CPU cooler that will fit on the socket type of your mobo/processor.

I've got this Processor - Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 @ 2.50GHz
Motherboard - ASRock G31M-S. (CPUSocket)

Yeah thats a good choice and will fit. Id' suggest the Gelid Tranquillo personally bt there's not a lot in it.

What's the advantages of the Gelid Tranquillo?

Probably looking at buying a new fan tomorrow as this one is really doing my head in.

Before I buy one I'd like to know the advantage of the Gelid Tranquillo, if any?
