soon as i see the fan not working i switched it off

any opinions?

Thanks

have you tried plugging it into a different header? if it still doesn't work then the fan is broken. Does it spin up at all when you turn it on?

Silly Question... But Did you plug the CPU fan into the Fan-header marked 'CPU' on your motherboard?..

Sim :)

There is only 1 slot for the CPU fan or do you mean i could try the other 3 pin slot which i use for the side fan? when i start it up, it trys to spin like moves a CM then stops. ofc its labelled CPU FAN :p

How many pins does the fan have as the CPU header on the mobo has a 4 pin header so if it's 3 pins are you sure you're plugging in the fan into the correct 3 pins, check the manual for more details.

I'd just connect it to a molex via an adapter and not worry about it. You BIOS boots without having to wait for the CPU fan, so no problems there. You can always use a fan controller to limit the speed of the fan.

Or connect to another fan header.

ok i got into bios and the fan cooling thing its off so it should spin, i was checking the temps of the system/CPU and they are staying around 19 degree's without the fan even moving so thats kinda wierd.

lol in some bios settings you can stop the fan spinning unless the temps go above 25c and once they go over 50c fan spins full speed.
