Since updating the bios 2104, I am now getting a warning on starting the PC. It reports the CPU fan problem and cpu overheat! In the bios there does not seem to be problem, CPU Temp +77.0 F (50% of bar). CPU Fan Speed Average 885RPM. The previous bios 1616 never reported any such problem? Not sure what's going on here? I will very soon be upgrading my MB, CPU, et. So maybe I should ignore this, and besides what can I do anyway? Any advice, please?

when you flashed the bios, did you load the optimized settings? if not i would try re flashing the bios after clearing your settings.
you can always tell your board to ignore your cpu fan speed etc.

I cant remember if it was optimised settings, I normally save as default. So probably not. How do I clear settings? And how do I tell the MB to ignore cpu fan speed? I am very green when it comes BIOS settings. As far as I know, this CPU has never been overclocked, nothing has. I assume everything is set to default, or I assume optimized. I have NO CMOS profile, and none installed. I can do all the upgrades myself, but when it comes to understanding of overclocking and adjusting the BIOS, other than updating the bios, I leave well alone.
