CPU fan speed control

i have a tuniq tower 120 and a p5b deluxe...is there any way to get the system to control the fan speed depending on cpu temperature?

Q-fan or speedfan.

ive tried both, neither of them have any effect on the rpms of my tuniq fan

i thought maybe its because the motherboard has a 4pin pwm header for the cpu fan and i only have a 3 pin fan, but you would think the motherboard can adjust the DC voltage if theres no 4th wire
