i cant see on that pic :(
better to open the case see the fan spin see wots up

a lot of bios have rpm setting on fan warning, maybe can change that too

what Mei said...had the same issue with my Noctua NH-D14 as it spins often under the threshold value set in the ASUS BIOS so every time my BIOS reverts back to defaults (after a BIOS update for example) this error comes up.

As said above, just reduce the warning limit.

My mate had this problem and I found out he had the cpu fan plugged into a pwr fan header on the mobo instead of the cpu fan header, worth a check!

yeah ok thanx guys......the fan is plugged into the right header :)...but i'll go have a look se @the BIOS :)

still seem to be getting silly speeds ? lol

Hey did you ever fix this? I had the same problem this morning using same motherboard. It's been fine for a year but suddenly started this morning. When I powered on my PC before work. "CPU FAN SPEED ERROR" , then in bios and hwmonitor cpu fanspeed reading 0-60,000 , reset a few times and restored defaults same issue. Only had 10mins so couldn't test further.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I didnt really find a fix as for this issue sorry :(....but what i did do is change my cpu cooler to the one you can see below , and also shut off the cpu fan warning in BIOS......althis did not make any difference when using the core temp program..is was still giving me silly fan speeds , so i dumped it lol....and now using Hardware Monitor my fan speeds are what i would have expected them to be ie with a cpu idle temp of around 25c the fan speed is about 560 RPM :)
