cpu fan speed

hi i have a Q6600 running at stock (2.40ghz)
I have a Arctic Freezer pro 7.

i jsut wanted to know *** the recommend cpu fan speed **** be. can i manually set it?

its currently running about 600rpm according to the bios.
with a cpu temp of 37degrees.

any help is much appreciated.

I have the same HSF. Everest reports mine to be running at 819 RPM. If I disable Asus Qfan it shoots up to about 2000+ I think, and sounds like a tornado. I have bought a fan controller to connect it to though so I can change the speed manually.
