cpu fan splitter question

hi guys, im getting a new cpu cooler soon with dual fans, the question is.. can i use this for both of the fans http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CB-003-LL or will i be to much power into that one socket, sounds silly i know but new to this kind of thing, and only ever bought single fan cpu cooler in the past, cheers

with that only having 3pins will you be able to run pwm fans controled by mobo

uses sata connector for power and can power up to 3 PWM fans.

or for molex.

so with the molex version, along with connecting to the psu via the molex connecter, do i also connect the motherboard connecter to the cpu fan socket?

Yes, power from the molex helps for two or more fans, but the fan speed is controlled from the motherboard header as normal.


EDIT Check if new cooler comes with a splitter, my Phanteks did.
