Just been overclocking and got some dodgy beeps :/ eek. But now I have reset the bios and have it @ 2.6 at the moment but now my cpu fan has stopped spinning.

It is twitching so it is trying to spin but its just not?

Any ideas?

I know it sounds stupid but I've had a few intel fans do that to me before. They just sit still and then twitch but dont fully spin.

Eventually went into BIOS and temps were OK. When i booted Windows, the fan started spinning. Eventually found out it was the Intel power saver thing, it didnt deem the temps high enough to spin up the fan.

If its not that, check for anything blocking the fan or try plugging it in to another fan connector or your board. If it dont spin on the other connector, its broken :)

Edit - Beaten to it ^^

When I built a friends PC with a Gigaybyte board & stock HSF the fan did not spin until a certain temp.

Sounds like the Bios has dropped back to default settings after a failed clock.
Turn off all the thermal protection rubbish/power saving crap etc, You shouldn't have it on if you're clocking anyway.

Mine does this when it drops below around 30 degrees and I have the fan on 'auto' setting in the bios. Below around 500rpm the fan just stops and pulses every couple of seconds.
