CPU Fan Stopped Spinning?

Over the past few weeks my PC's CPU fan has been acting strange, it has started to kind of slow down.

THis morning, I go to turn my PC on, and the fan doesn't even budge, I give it a spin, and then it spins.. but so slowly, one fan blade takes like 2 seconds to go 360 degrees, and it has like, spurts.

Then on my PC screen is says, blah blah, Fan Failure, please turn off PC to prevent problrme,s for F2 to continue. Is it bad if I go to continue with the fan not working properly?

The side of my PC is off btw, I have dusted the **** out of that thing, and put some 3 in 1 oil on it too, it's not that the fan is stuck, I can move is easy with my fingers, it just doesn't spin with the PC.

what CPU cooler is it?

can you try the fan in a different header or vice versa?

Get a new fan.

CPU go bang bang no fan.

Turn off your Pc and get a new fan. Otherwise more stuff will be breaking.

Seems like its getting power if it spins after a push, looks like you will need as stated a new fan or it maybe fouling on something....danaged fins on the heatsink? Just to rule out the header you could try powering the current fan off a molex all my fans ate powered this way.

bearing clogged up i guess or an internal fan motor fasult dont even try it buy another
