CPU Fan stuck on 100%

I have recently changed from my CoolIT Vantage back to my trusty Thor's Hammer and have noticed that the my new Apache PWM fan is stuck on 100%. On AMD Overdrive, it says that it is on manual and 100%. So I change it to auto, press apply, close OverDrive then go back into it at it says it is on manual again.

Must be something I have changed in the BIOS, probably for my Vantage, but am not sure what I need to change to put my CPU fan back on auto!

Can't you connect the fan to the CPU pin rather than the PWM pin?

It is on the CPU fan header if that's what you mean

Don't you have to enable Cool'n'Quiet, or is that just to reduce the stepping like intel speedstep?

Try setting it to auto via the bios, to see if that helps.
