Hi, Im looking to buy a new CPU fan to replace the stock one on my E4500. It runs ok on stock, at 62C under load, but as soon as I try to overclock it rockets up to over 70C on load, and that is with only a 300mhz OC.
However, this is my first build and I dont really feel comfortable installing a backplate, so coolers like the Tuniq tower are out of the question (coupled with the fact that I want to spend no more than £25-£30.)
Ive heard good things about the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7, but I have also heard that it is pretty big-I am running a Thermaltake Soprano case which doesnt have all that much room in it.
I know that the larger a cooler is the more effective it will be, but dont want to risk buying one that wont fit. So what is the best, small cooler?
Thanks
