CPU Fan

Hey all,

I'm looking for a decent CPU fan that cools well and keeps it nice and quiet! I will be using an e8400 core 2 duo processor and an Asus Maximus Formula Intel X38 motherboard.

That's exactly what I'm running and I chose the Noctua NH12UF, couldn't recommend it more

Just read a review at Toms and it seems like it's one of the best available with quiet effective cooling! Thanks for the recommendation!

Seems to have moved on a little now with a slightly different form factor and a higher pressure fan, improvements I'm sure.

I swear 6-12 months back the Noctuas were all anyone recommended...with dodgy thermalright quality-control I don't see why the recommendations tailed off...

Well I after reading toms review I'm very impressed... out of quite a few CPU fans, it practically got 2nd place (In air cooling) - the first place fan looks massive and it seems as though they had a few problems installing it - so I think if I go for a new CPU fan, I'll grab the Noctua
