CPU for dedicated streaming PC

hi guys
i'm looking to get into streaming PC and console games so i'm looking to build a dedicated streaming PC but i'm not really sure what CPU to get

from what i understand when encoding video core count is king so i was thinking about an AMD FX8300 because it's dirt cheap and has 8 cores, would it be fast enough for 1080p 60fps streaming with the OBS CPU usage preset set to medium or lower or do i need something more powerful?

i guess i could go for the r7 1700, i know the FX series isn't exactly the jewel in AMD's crown but i figured under multithreaded loads like encoding it might shine and save me some money in the process

so based on all your advice it seems like ryzen is the way to go
this is the build i have come up -No mention of competitors-schizo

how does that look? i'm not so sure about the PSU

sorry about the competitor link, i am buying everything from OCUK it's all in my basket now along with humbugs suggested change to the PSU
i didn't know how to link my OCUK basket list show i just used PC part picker, my bad

Maybe but they are generally older or simpler games and of course ultra low texture quality.

i have a PS4, xbox one, wii U, PS3 and xbox 360, obviously the vast majority of games for those platforms run at less than 1080p and less than 60fps so i'll probaly just stream 720p 30fps for consoles gameplay but for PC gameplay i will want to do 1080 60 for basically everything

at this point i have bought everything for my streaming/recording PC apart from the CPU, i have decided to hold off and wait for the r5 1600
obviously not going to be as fast as the 1700 but it is 6 cores and 12 threads so i would imagine it will still be plenty fast enough and save me some money
