Hi all, A mate of mine needs a new desk top pc to replace his old laptop
His budget is about 800 quid
What cpu/motherboard do you recommend and how much memory

Ideally 16gb but will he be doing any gaming?

Thanks for the quick response.
No gaming, but i am flogging him an amd 7850 1gb (will this gpu be ok)
Also does he need to oc or would a non k version be sufficient
 
You only save £11 by going with the Non K version and as he is within budget I would keep the K version, also he can do a little extra performance boost if needed, the motherboard comes with a free cooler.

The 7850 will be fine, but as he is not gaming I would try running with the onboard GPU for the time being.
