Hi All,

Been a while since i was that into hardware - anyhow im now back, but things change in hardware so i have a couple of Q's!

My memory is DDR2 533mhz
My CPU is 200 FSB (AMD 64 3800 socket AM2)

Therefore when i OC i will never get the best from my memory as ill never reach 266 will i? (Currently struggling to get above 225, I am presuming FSB is locked between CPU and Memory?). 2.65G is easy enough but.......not with the FSB i want(which i am presuming is still a better OC than just pure speed)

Asus M2N-E Socket AM2 NF570ULTRA
Kingston Hyper X 533MHz DDR2

Any explanations/Ideas for more performance would be greatly recieved - what is it recently that people get the hump if no-one answers there questions in 2 minutes, never used to (in my day lol).

Drop your CPU multiplier down to 10x, set your HTT @ 4x, set your FSB @ 266.

Will give you:

2.66Ghz CPU
533Mhz mem
1066HTT

Found all i need - but apparently the board is a pants clocker, some reason \i cant get the settings u suggested.

Oh Well - nice stable 215(HTT x 5) x 12 aint too bad to be fair

You can still use divider to make your RAM run faster than your FSB if you want. But tbh tightening the RAM timings will yeild better performance gain for AMD.
