Cpu getting hot

Q9650 @3.6 ghz been like this for 18ths but I have purchased red orchestra 2 and this game is getting me up to 83c!!!! Nothing else does this but anyway how do i get temps down and is it dangerous.

will strip it down tomorrow and reseat with fresh compound and clean it out .

New arctic silver and a blow out I ended up putting artic cooler back rotated my 90 degrees it was a pain in the butt getting back on due to lack of space and my fat hands but idle temps are 33c rather than 38c and I lowered vcore down a notch now to test it properly

edit:

that fixed it max temps tonight 63c a full 24c lower under full load
