CPU/GPU Issue? Screen blank - Help!

Hi,

Recently put together my first build and starting to see some hiccups. Hoping for some advice.

Essentially, my screen either goes grey with horizontal white lines, or totally black. Computer is still on and music still plays. This usually happens when I'm gaming and is pretty sporadic. I've started running MSI afterburner to check temp/fps in game. The most intensive game I play is Skyrim, modded; I'm on av. 60fps and hovering around 57degrees. I've had issue though even when playing FM2006!!

CPU: G3258 @ 4.3ghz
GPU: MSI R9 270x OC (Factory OC)
PSU: Corsair CX600w
RAM: 8gb

Have plenty of cooling, CPU never goes above 60degrees. Bit confused over what could be causing this. Any and all help appreciated!

You could try another monitor cable or maybe update the boards BIOS.

Or try lowering the factory overclock of the card and see if that helps.

Hi Stulid, thanks for the reply.

I'll try that yes. Currently using DVI but have a VGA I could use. Will try that, then lower settings if that doesnt work and see how we go. Strange thing is i can run furmark at 1080 for 2 hours with no issues (?).

Is this an example of bottleneck with the CPU/GPU combo? I'm assuming that just means the CPU cannot support the ability of the card so you get glitches?
