Hey again,
i recently had a coolmaster 212 evo installing into my computer and found out that the place i had it installed at used the how tube of the supplied CPU Grease on the heatsink. Is this going to case problems or is it me just worrying?

I was positive i heard you only use a pea sized amount

They used a whole tube of thermal paste? If so remove/inspect and post pictures for our enjoyment.

That said it does depend on how large the tube is :)

Yeah they used the hole tube, they rang me today saying they found my thunb screw they lost. So i also asked for my leftover Thermal Paste and thats when i found out it was all gone :s

The tube was around this long |--==========>

Why did you let a company install it? The HS is probably one of the easiest things to install after RAM and GPU.

Because i had never done it before and didnt want to take the motherboard out myself to mount the backplate, i carnt afford to break anythin

Also had everything fitted into a new case. Was only £15 so seemed worth it

Ooooohhh!!! Very strange tbh, can you see any paste around the CPU then? Tube doesn't look very big but it must've been more than a pea sized amount! ;) Wonder what they will say....

All they said to me was we had to use it all because you need thermal compound on your CPU, speaking asif i didnt know this :s

The hole experience was very strange
