Hey all,

Not so much a problem, just curious...Got a 3500+ AMD AM2 single core Ath64 running on an Asus something or other mobo. 1gig DDR2 kit and onboard graphics. Basic work computer.

It runs at 19oC and under load creeps up to a max of 25oC. Is this physically do-able, or is it a temp sensor error? Seems really cool to me, not that I'm complaining! Reads the same in Bios and Asus PC probe, which should be the case as they both read off the same sensor. Some boards do get confused though.

I've got an older Ath64 system running at 38ish and a 3000+ Barton running in the mid 50's!

Its run with no case fans, 1x 120mm PSU fan and a stock AMD retail cooler. Also note I have disabled all cool and quiet, auto-fan settings etc. Pure 2.2ghz and full fan speed.

Cheers,
John

Also, just thought I'd add, its physically cool to the touch, aswell as reading cool. Seems amazingly cool to me for such a small heatsink. Are the new chips really that efficient?
