Budget?

Also I'm not too sure if that RAM with work with that board, board doesn't say if it takes that speed RAM. Could me and probably, wrong.

Hi there,

I was under the impression that for FSX the best CPU to go for at the minute was an intel i7. Mainly due to the faster clock-for-clock performance and enough cores (4 cores/8 threads). Have you considered going down this route?

Also, the next generation "sandy bridge" CPUs and motherboards are out on January 9th - do you think you could wait (maybe get gift vouchers so you have something on christmas day) and go for this instead - as these chips will be even faster than current i7s.

a quote from custom pc review on Asus Crosshair IV formula page 55 issuse 082

"memory support 4 solts:max 16gb DDR3 (2000mhz)"

also i will not buy intel:cool:

....Edit.... going to have to go with a 970 or 965 to stay in budget
