CPU hitting 84 'idle'

It feels Luke warm. I've fiddled with my oc to 3.6 and reduced my voltage a fair amount but enabled hyperthreading. Now my cpu hits "154"c max whilst my current temp was 77c, I assume because of the hyperthreading being hyperthreading.

I've noticed my max is always double my current. Same with my AUX1 max temp. I smell erroneous temp sensoring! Which is better than smelling burning plastic.

Because that's how I roll!

According to that screenshot, the highest temp any of your cores reached was 78C, which seems pretty normal under prime. I've always gone by core temps, I'm a bit out of the loop now so not sure what CPUTIN actually is.

Re-flash motherboard bios buddy! I had a similar problem with my FX-8350 after installing it and it replacing my FX-4170. Some temps were half, others were multiplied by 10... I knew for a fact my chip was not hitting 480'c and also the cores were not as low as 26'c Priming.

Flashed Bios, same bios as before, and HWMoniter and other temp programs started to work.

Clearing CMOS may also help.
