CPU Instilation on Gigabyte Board

I have the DQ6 board and there is a cover over the CPU socket do i remove this completely?

If it's the same as my DS4 then remove the plastic part, put the CPU in, then put the metal top flap down then tighten the lever.

Read the CPU insertion leaflet that comes with the board. If you drop the chip in at the wrong angle you can bend the pins - it's unlikely but someone I know (OK, ME! :rolleyes:

) has managed it with LGA775 boards in the past.
