A while back ( Last year ) i was asking about a new build to allow me getting back into gaming but not on a serious level ...
It was suggested to me that i get the Intel i5 2400 3.10Ghz ( Sandybridge ) socket.
I have just seen the 3rd gen i5 3470 3.20Ghz LGA 1155 ivy bridge cpu...

could i buy the 3rd gen instead ? and run it on the Asus P8H61-M mobo ? or should i just stick with getting the Intel i5 2400 3.10Ghz ( Sandybridge )

they are not all that expensive compared to the 2nd gen.
so might just hold off buying cpu for now and go for the ivy bridge.
hmmmm food for thought.
well i have everything else i just have cpu left to get and was going for the cpu i mentioned above but for the sake of a few quid more the ivy bridge sounds better option
