CPU, is this normal?

Multiplier keeps switching between 6 and 9.
Never noticed it before, I have turned of Speedstep in BIOS.
Mobo is Asus P5B

You might need to diable CIE1 and EIST (if your motherboard has either or both) are you running Vista if yes check power settings and set to high performance.

Yes, this is normal. It is a feature called Speedstep which will lower the CPu frequency when it is doing nothing. When it needs to process a lot the CPU will automatically run faster.
