CPU Lapping my results

Right, I'm about to lap my Q6600 CPU and I thought I'd compose a thread to show all what temperature differences I'm seeing. I'll try and get a pic of the CPU half way through to show the state of the heat spreader.

Temps then...

Before lapping:

Idle

31/31/31/35

Prime 95 at start:

56/56/56/56

Prime 95 after 5 mins:

61/61/60/61

To be continued in about 30 mins. If not then I've done something seriously wrong!
 
After lapping (took ages to get it flat perfectly, it was massivly concave in the centre).

Idle:

31/31/31/31

Prime start

54/54/54/55

Prime after 10 mins

57/58/58/58
 
Going to be having another go at it as I'm not convinced I've got it flat enough. Temps are only about 3 deg down, and when I look at the paste I can see it concentrating around the centre still.

As for warranty, I've got the OEM chip so it's only a year anyway, and I doubt very much that it will die. CPUs very rarely die once working from my experience.
