Cpu load !

hey guys as the tittle says Ive just installed a new cpu for my rig and whenever my rig is just idling there always seems to be a lil load on the cpu and you know when u click something and the sand timer icon is there it does this every second whilst its idling on the desktop please help heres a screen shot

ye iv got this with my q6600, but id doesnt slow down performance, it takes bout 5-10 mins to do that but i guess its to keep the pc from freezing or somethin.

Your computer is not idling. The processor is active therefore it is not idle. What do you want to do about this? You could turn the computer off if you want it to stop doing anything

I would hazard a guess at an indexing program or spyware.

well since the pc isn't connected to the internet i doubt its spyware
