CPU Manufacturing process in pictures

this is what i did for a living for the Last 10 years, it's very interesting and i loved working in the field as a process engineer but unfortunately for me the Wafer fab i worked at closed during the recession taking me out of probably the best job i will ever have.

There are 2 few simiconductor sites in the UK.

Ion Implanters are mega cool, in some each wafer can be placed onto the edge of a 6ft wheel which spins past the stationary elecron beam which is kinda hows it's shows in that first video where it kinda 'stripes' the surface.
