Cpu + MB Upgrade Suggestions

Hi,

Its been a good wee while since I have posted on here so hopefully I am not in the wrong area :)

A basic spec list of my current build.

- Amd 860k @4.3ghz
- Gigabyte X88 F2A88X-D3H
- Teamgroup 2400 8gbs
- HIS 7950 (Custom Bios)

Obviously i have my floppy drive and other kit in the system but thats not the issue.

Im running into CPU bottle-necking issues Mainly in GTA V where my CPU sits at 95-100% load and my GPU is sitting 40-60% and getting 40-60fps (V-sync is off). I would also like to get better performance in World of Warcraft with my Gpu hardly even trying due to wows poor engine (Uses 2 threads)

I basically need to get a new CPU and Motherboard but puzzled. I dont want another AMD and i dont have a loan ready for a i5/i7s. I have looked at the Pentium K but because its only a duel core im not too sure.

Can Anyone help me out? My budget is £200+/-

Thanks for getting back to me and i apologize for the last reply.

Thanks for your suggestion and its a pretty good one but ive managed to sort things out. I have gone to the world of used and abused items on ebay and picked up a i5 3570k £85 + Asrock Z77 extreme 4 £85.

That i5 is miles better than my 860k.
Geekbench
i5 (stock) - 3200 single - 10250 multi
860k (my OC on the limit 4.6ghz) - 2767 single - 8758 multi

I hope i made a good choice :)
