CPU/mobo compatability

hi

i'm looking to buy a new processor as a sly jump inbetween big upgrades, specifically an AMD64 X2 4200+ (939). i have an av8 mobo (here) and i know it says it supports x2 processors but is there anyway to check? is there a compatability list anywhere? does anyone have one?

i'm not sure either way tbh, do i trust it and buy?

generally 939 mobos which dont as standard support them, have a bios update to improve to combatablilty
