CPU + Mobo for around 250?

What would be the best bang for buck?

Looking for little help on deciding what CPU + mobo to get.

Any help would be appreciated!

That's about the best you will get on Intel's side for the price (even if it is £19 over budget). Keep in mind that's a this week only deal which changes tomorrow. With Intel cpu's costing silly money at the moment it's not a particularly good time to buy new.

You will get a lot more for your money with a AMD combo with a 8320 coming in at £120 and a decent board for around £70.

yeah I've noticed intels prices a fair bit higher...

I bought 4770k last year... its now 70 pounds more LOL.

I've considered used but i'm building this for my brother so don't want to keep him waiting hunting a used deal.
