Hi guys,
I have been putting off an upgrade for ages as my computer can still run everything fine but i have been having numerous issues with slowdown and bluescreens over the past few months and today my computer has started randomly freezing and needing to be powered off and on again.
Its basically made me decide to upgrade now as you can always be waiting for the next best thing. So i dont have a budget really, i will spend what i have to to get a decent upgrade, but obviously i dont want to waste money on flash rubbish i just want a good solid build.
So i currently have a corsair 650watt modular psu and a 5850 gfx card. Xonar d1 and a samsung f1. Got kb/mouse/monitors/windows/case etc.
So really only looking for cpu/mobo/ram i think, possibly an ssd too but not too fussed on that front. People seem to recommend the 2500k for gaming but that doesnt support HT, i am not sure how big of a deal that is and if it would be worth shelling out the extra for the i7? Also have zero idea about motherboards, would want a decent reliable one that can achieve good clocks, and suitable memory for it (at least 8gig) that wont hamper performance or clocking.
Can anyone lend a hand and spec me up an upgrade please? Quality components without going OTT. Thanks
