Hey,

Seen lots of stuff about CPU-NB overclocking and getting the right speed for your OC but no guide on how to find it. Anyone know? Mine's at 2500MHz atm and there's a definite performance increase, but I wanna find the optimal, is it really just trial and error? Also am I right in saying the HT Link needs to stay at 2000MHz?

Current settings:

CPU volts are at 1.475 in the BIOS so I presume the 1.375 reading is wrong, I know this board has Vdrop issues but I can't see it being that much.

What would you do with it in my position? :)

3.5GHz is the max this CPU goes without going upwards of 1.5v so I'm keeping it at that. RAM Volts are at 1.6V.

Specs in sig.

Cheers

For Propus 2800 CPU-NB is generally the limit and around 2600 is about optimal, do some benches though and see what works best for your usage.

If your using IGP or high end graphics a small HT OC can help otherwise keep it close to 2000.

Managed to get 2500MHz/8-8-8-24/3.5GHz stable, happy with that :) can't get over 2500MHz without increased FSB and dropping multi, which for some reason stops the board POSTing.

Pushing 44.7GFLOPS so all good.
